Our Romney Roving has a staple length of approximately 5.5". The longer staple and even fibre alignment makes for easy drafting that's perfect for the beginner spinner, The experienced spinner is known to prize Romney fleece for its elegant lustre, whether worsted or woollen spun from fine to bulky yarns. Its medium-coarse texture makes it ideal for creating cozy indoor slippers or outerwear garments such as sweaters, mittens, and toques. Great for knitting, crocheting, weaving, wet or needle felting, and thrumming for mittens and slippers.

Our Romney roving has a natural resistance to pilling that is evident even after hand dyeing. Very easy to dye and takes up evenly.
